September 2019

I know I’m late, but Hello September and hello friends!

Here we go! Because I’m still figuring everything out and I’m eager to get started before figuring out the technical logistics, my newsletters are going to start off as posts.  This September “newsletter” is obviously going to be a bit different because this is the beginning of the blog with no previous month to reflect on. So instead, I’ll give you a lil’ lowdown on what you can expect to read and see in my “newsletters” each month.

Each “newsletter” will have a reflection and overview on what went on in my life and with Love Always Nat, as well as a sneak peak of what’s to come in the current month! I also want to share with you what motivation and inspiration I’m feeling for the month and what I’m looking forward to. And because I’m all about supporting local agriculture and eating seasonally, I’ll list out what’s currently in season so we can all have some food inspiration! I’ve already said this before, but I’m always open to feedback at anytime. HOWEVER, the end/beginning of the month is a great time for you to share with me anything you want to see, because production schedules and hours can get too hectic, and your girl’s gotta plan everything out in advance. So now that you have a basic layout of what to expect, let’s get to the newsletter part of this newsletter!!

September:

Let’s be honest here, September is a month that’s still pretty much half summer and half autumn. I feel like we get the best of both worlds in September; we get to soak up the last of the summer warmth and sun and we get to work up our excitement for getting cozy, enjoying holiday food, and spending extra time with our loved ones.

September is also a very bittersweet month too. With the end of summer, comes the start of school or the start of a new quarter at work, so while there can be excitement in starting fresh, it also means less summer fun, and more getting down to business. So even though I’ve been out of school for almost 4 years, I still get a little too excited when I start seeing “back-to-school” sales and marketing ALL OVER the place. It makes me want to organize all parts of my life, get back on track with my health and fitness, and while I’m a pretty simple gal when it comes to fashion, I love revamping my closet for the Fall/Winter season! I feel like a total nerd because I love getting organized and will totally jump at the chance to get my “ish” together. I mean, I can’t be the only one who gets motivated by the back to school frenzy, right?

I love using this motivation and inspiration to start new projects, set new goals, and even revisit old ones. Try doing the same with me this month! And if you can’t think of anything, try revisiting or re-evaluating some of the goals and intentions you set at the start of 2019. Speaking of intentions, I want to try and set a few personal intentions each month separate from the blog, and share it with you so that I can hold myself more accountable and hopefully inspire you too! With my anxiety and stress levels, I tend to lose sight of my goals and almost always try to accomplish too much, so here are the intentions I’ve set for myself for September that I also intend to work on with a healthy balance:

Intention #1: Do better to prioritize health and well-being (especially stress levels)

Intention #2: Plan a fun autumn festivity with my friends

Intention #3: Do yoga or meditate at least 1x a week
